Alan G. Marshall to Deliver Plenary Lecture at Pittcon 2010
21 Aug 2009: Pittcon is pleased to present Alan G. Marshall, Kasha Professor of Chemistry and Biochemistry, Florida State University, and Director of the Ion Cyclotron Resonance Program at the National High Magnetic Field Laboratory, as the 2010 plenary speaker. Pittcon Announces Co-Programming for the 2010 Technical Program

CAS Launches Free Web-Based Resource "Common Chemistry" for General Public
18 May 2009: Chemical Abstracts Service (CAS), a division of the American Chemical Society and the most comprehensive and authoritative source of chemical information, has launched a new, free, web-based resource called Common ChemistryTM. This resource is helpful to non-chemists and others who might know either a chemical name or a CAS Registry Number of a common everyday chemical and want to pair both pieces of information.

22 Apr 2009: The plant pigment curcumin found in turmeric is highly active against the growth of certain cancers. Therefore researches have high expectations that curcumin can be administered as phytotherapeutic drug in order to prevent metastasis. YMC has developed a method which enables analysis of curcumin and related polyphenolic compounds in less than 3 minutes.
